Botanica supply natural herbal skin creams, washes and sprays

Botanica International was formed in 2005 to create and develop natural products using non toxic ingredients such as plants and herbs.

Originally only a small market was exclusively supplied by Managing Director Sean Cooney, but due to growing public awareness of the benefits of holistic treatments, demand for the product has increased substantially.

At Botanica we believe the natural world has a solution for all conditions and we intend to work tirelessly to research and develop our products and make them easily available to our customers.

Sean Cooney‘s Story

"I grew up on a farm named Abalinetown, in the County of Wexford, South East Ireland, and from a very early age I was on horseback. I was very much self taught, riding the horses around the farm and country roads. I used to ride with the local club, The Killinick Harriers, and proceeded to ride all over the south east and south of Ireland.

I am very much a nature lover and from an early age believed that nature has taken care of everything, if only one was interested enough to explore all the possibilities that nature has provided. I won a scholarship to College to study agricultural science. After leaving College I travelled the world and was fascinated by other indigenous cultures and traditions, seeing how they managed to live in harmony with the natural world without the aid of dangerous chemicals. On my return I settled in London where I worked with open minded doctors and chemists to find cures for common skin conditions that those in the chemical world had failed. From there the seeds of Botanica were sown.

Horse Whispering

Whilst stuck in a traffic jam in London listening to the car radio back in 1998, I heard an interview with an amazing gentleman named Monty Roberts who was visiting the U.K. to demonstrate his horse whispering skills. He had been invited to come to the U.K. by Queen Elizabeth II. I was in total awe of what I was hearing and of course did not believe a word of it, ( or should I say I could not understand a word of it ), however I was curious and broadminded enough to go and see what this man was all about.

What I saw was truly mind blowing and magnificent in the genius of its simplicity. When the demonstration was over and all the people were leaving to go home, I stood up and approached Monty whom I found to be open and very willing to give me his time. I read the books, studied the video and whilst back in Northern Ireland I proceeded to put my new found knowledge of horses to the test, and guess what, I got the same results as Monty. Ever since, I would not consider starting a horse any other way. It is nature’s way. Whilst studying agricultural science back in the seventies I discovered that one cannot beat nature. They can destroy lots of natures beauty, but nature always wins in the end.

Bio-Energy

In the Spring of 2002 I was working on a young wild horse that had never been handled. It had received leg injuries, and the owner asked me if I could treat it with my products, as the Veterinary surgeon was not able to get close enough to tranquillize the horse. So, willing to prove my Horse Whispering skills and the powerful healing qualities of my products I relished the challenge. Within 2-3 weeks the injuries had cleared up leaving no scar tissue.

About two months later I was back in the same farmer’s yard with a friend visiting from Scotland to treat another horse. Asking about the last horse I treated, the farmer suggested we go down to the field and see it. As I walked across the field the young horse left the group of horses it had been grazing with and came to meet me. A bond had grown between us to the amazement of the farmer. My Scottish friend suggested that I should do a course in Bio-Energy which is a very powerful Energy Therapy. I was enthusiastic and wanted to find out all I could about this fabulous therapy and enrolled in a diploma course in Dublin from which I graduated in 2003.

I find the combination of the Horse Whispering skills and the Energy Healing, working together are truly magic."
