Greyhound Testimonal As a greyhound trainer I use a lot of Botanica products. I have been training greyhounds for many years and can honestly say that Botanica Natural Herbal Skin cream is the most effective wound healing cream I have ever used. Greyhounds pick up a lot of injuries during training and racing including cuts, scratches and bites. If any of my dogs get a cut I immediately wash the area with Botanica Wash and then apply a generous amount of Botanica Natural Herbal Skin cream. I find this helps clean out the wound and allows for healing to quickly start. No matter how bad the wound is, with daily application, it heals amazingly quickly. The results have to be seen to be believed. Botanica Natural Herbal Skin cream has lessened the amount of time my dogs have to spend out of training. Cuts heal quicker thus allowing the dog to return to the track in a shorter time. As it is a natural product there are no worries about prohibited substances being given to the dog. When racing on sand surfaces, greyhounds often suffer from what is called ‘Sand Toe’. This is where sand from the track gets lodged around the nail bed causing inflammation if not removed. If left unattended, this condition worsens causing pain, redness and swelling of the cuticle. If I have a dog that is susceptible to sand toe, I wash his feet in warm water and Botanica Wash when I get home from the track. This gently removes the sand and cleans the feet. You can see the results on your own hands after soaking the dog’s feet. If required, I wash the feet again the following morning and apply some Healing cream to take away any soreness. I have also found Botanica useful in taking down swelling caused by track leg. Application of the cream following cold hosing reduces inflammation. I recommend Botanica to all my friends. Dear Sean, Here is the history of the mare’s leg. February 2007 she got cast in her stable and she damaged her leg in the process, hitting it off the wall a number of times trying to get up. The following day her leg began to swell. She was treated by the vet with antibiotics and inflammatory injections on her leg. Her leg continued to swell up to the point where the skin broke on the back of her leg. The leg was washed twice a day with Epsom salts and water and dressed with various products that were purchased from the vet. After a short period of time proud flesh began to grow. Various people had seen the mare and nobody could do anything to help the situation. Some people suggested that she be put down. I then made enquiries with a veterinarian clinic to have the proud flesh removed. The cost was such that I did consider putting her down. By June 2007 the proud flesh was so enormous that it was catching in her other leg as she walked. My own vet has a partner in practice who is a good surgeon. He agreed to operate and remove the proud flesh but could not guarantee that it would not grow again. The vet operated and removed the proud flesh successfully. In the meantime I found an ointment - Botanica. I was told it would prevent proud flesh growing but I was not optimistic. I gave it a try to see if it would work and to my amazement not only it prevent proud flesh from growing but it knitted the wound back together. The bandages were removed 4 days later, and the ointment acted as fly repellent and prevented infection in the wound. I am now convinced that is does everything that I was told it would do and I would highly recommend it for humans and animals as I have used it myself with first class results.     John Walsh, Wexford

I have a Friesian Mare. The first year I had her, I didn’t realise she had Sweet Itch. We went on holiday in the spring and when I returned two weeks later she had literately rubbed her tail bare and her mane was little better.
